Online Booking System for Parents’ Evening

Good Evening,

Please find attached letter which should have been issued to all pupils today. Unfortunately I was not in school this afternoon and the letters were not issued to P7A. I have tried to e-mail every parent in the class but find there are one or two pupils’ whose parents do not have e-mail addresses listed at the school.

The hard copy of the letter will follow on Monday.

Please accept my sincere apologies any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,

Miss Hutcheson

Parents Evening Letter 2018

Week 1 News and Homework

P7A have had a fantastic first week back. It’s been lovely to hear everyone’s holiday and Halloween news too!

We have really enjoyed having Mr Tomlinson back in class with us. Mr Tomlinson will be with P7A for the next 5 weeks. It’s been great having Mr T. and has guitar as we  absolutely loved learning to sing together. A second highlight from this week as our whole school outdoor learning day yesterday! P7A modeled excellent behavior and were a super support to P1 and P2 when learning about fire safety. It was lovely to receive a number of very positive comments from staff about our P7A team – well done to all!

In numeracy this term we will be looking at multiplication and division and in topic maths we will look at angles followed by money. Within literacy we will continue to develop our comprehension skills. We will be beginning a new spelling programme called Wrap Around Spelling, look out for the first set of spelling words next Friday, where the whole school will follow the short ‘a’ sound. Our writing will have a functional focus in preparation for our Christmas MOL Market scheduled for Wednesday 28th November. Within PE P7 will have a gymnastics block of learning followed by social dance.

Once again, well done to P7A for a great first week back!

Homework – Week 1 05.11.18 P7A

School Car Park

Unfortunately, I am required to make a plea again to all users of the car park to exercise caution and care when deciding where to park.

I have been aware that on an increasing number of occasions, users are parking either ON or BEYOND the zebra crossing near to the MUGA steps which has resulted in a couple of near misses with children having to avoid cars either driving in or reversing out of this area.

Whilst I appreciate that parking spaces are limited, I must stress that this area of the car park is absolutely NOT for parking within. The zebra crossing has been installed to ensure that children can cross safely without any fear of cars being around them and this must be the case at all times.

This area has now been coned off and we will be discussing this matter with both police and the council’s Safer Routes Team, as well as at the next Parent Council Meeting.

As you will appreciate, the safety of the children is the absolute priority at all times and this cannot be compromised.

Thanks in advance for your support in this matter.
